Keep the sentiment, change the design
Jewellery you love but never wear
Some jewellery is too precious to part with but is not something you would wear today. It might be your mother's ring, your grandmother's jewellery, an old engagement ring or a piece you have owned for decades.
Instead of leaving it in a box, we can redesign it into a new piece that suits your taste and the way you live now, while keeping its connection to the original.
Inherited jewellery
Redesigning inherited jewellery
Inherited jewellery is especially suited to remodelling. You may love what a piece represents without loving its original design.
Depending on the piece and its condition, we can talk through different ways to give it a new life. That might mean reworking one item, or bringing stones from several pieces together in one design.
Old engagement and diamond rings
Reusing your diamonds and gemstones
Diamonds and gemstones from existing jewellery can often be used in an entirely new design, subject to their condition and suitability. For example:
- A more modern setting for an old engagement ring
- Turning a ring into a pendant
- Combining stones from several pieces
- Turning a pair of earrings into a ring
Bring your jewellery in and talk to us about your ideas.

Can you redesign inherited jewellery?
Yes. Bring the pieces into our Glasgow shop and we can discuss the possibilities with you.
Can you reuse my diamonds?
Existing diamonds and gemstones can often be used in a new design, subject to their condition and suitability. We check them before the design is agreed.
What if I do not know what design I want?
That is fine. Part of the process is discussing ideas and exploring what is possible.
Will I see the design before it is made?
Yes. You approve the proposed design before anything is made.
How much does a jewellery redesign cost?
Every redesign is different. The cost depends on the design, the metal and how much of your existing jewellery can be reused. We give you a price once the design is agreed and before anything is made.
Can broken jewellery be redesigned?
Potentially, yes. We first assess the piece and discuss whether repair, restoration or redesign is the right option.
